Times Higher Education published my article on using virtual reality to create avatar videos for teaching online. This should give you a good insight into how you can utilize VR and avatars for online teaching.
Introduction
Virtual Presentation Space is a VR app for recording your presentation in VR.
Here is a sample video in which I used a skeleton avatar to teach Osteology in VR.
In PC version, you can also live-cast the presentation to online meeting apps such as Zoom, Google Meet or Skype using NDI Virtual Input.
Available platforms
- PC (Steam VR): Available on VIVEPORT
- VIVE Focus Plus: Available on VIVEPORT
- Oculus Quest: A free trial version (limited recording time) is available on SideQuest. If you want to unlock it, buy a licence from Itch or Booth.
- Pico Neo 2: Can be purchased on the store in HMD.
